Enjoy locally sourced, freshly prepared food in a warm, family friendly pub. With all day opening hours, seasonal menus and an extensive wine and gin list, we want you to feel right at home in this historic public house. We have a regularly changing menu with daily specials and local cask ales. As a freehouse, we like to support breweries in and around East Anglia (just as well we produce some of the best ales in the country in this area, then!)
This astounding 16th century Grade II listed building was purchased from Adnams Brewery by a private buyer in 2016, and has been lovingly restored to showcase its beautiful original beams, large open fireplaces and elegant vaulted ceiling.
Bramfield itself is a fascinating little village, and is home to the only church in Suffolk with a detached round bell tower. Local historian June Brereton gives a wonderful insight into the history of the village and pub, which can you read here (source: Bramfield and Thorington website)
Our family friendly area hosts lego, books and art equipment to make sure children are entertained.
Dogs kept on a lead are most welcome here, with both the main bar and Long Bar being available to dine with your four legged friends. Complimentary Bonios are always behind the bar, along with water bowls! Free waste bags are provided in our beautiful gardens and we respectfully request owners exercise their use when needed. Not a dog fan? No problem – simply request your table in the snug, our pretty restaurant area. Please note that we do not allow any dogs in the snug.
The Snug – our cosy beamed restaurant area, which is available for private hires and intimate country style weddings.

Our Food Philosophy
We believe that great ingredients speak for themselves and East Anglia has some of the best food producers in the country. Using a local supply chain, we aim to create wonderful dishes that complement our geography and setting.
We hope you enjoy your experience at The Queen’s Head.
We work hard to keep our menus up to date with the seasons and provide dietary requirements e.g. gluten free options are always available. If you have a specific dietary requirement, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. We have full allergen information for all of our dishes – please ask.
