Seven days a week
We serve our complete main menu plus specials on the boards for indoor dining and takeaway Monday to Saturday, 12 – 8:30pm and Sundays from 12 – 7pm.
Freshly Prepared
Enjoy locally sourced, freshly prepared food in our beautiful Grade II listed pub. We have a regularly changing menu with daily specials, an extensive wine and gin collection and superb local cask ales. As a freehouse, we like to support breweries in and around East Anglia (just as well we produce some of the best ales in the country in this area, then!)
This astounding 16th century building has been lovingly restored to showcase its original beams, large open fireplaces and elegant vaulted ceiling. It dates back to the 1540’s and you can see lovely examples of wattle and daub, as well as an original ale serving hatch. Bramfield itself is a fascinating little village, and is home to the only church in Suffolk with a detached round bell tower.

Dogs kept on a lead are most welcome, with both the main bar and Long Bar being available to dine with your four legged friends. Complimentary water bowls are always on hand in varying sizes, and we sell both luxury dog chews and frozen dog yoghurts to keep Fido happy. Not a dog fan? No problem – simply request your table in the Snug, our pretty restaurant area. Please note that we do not allow dogs in the Snug.
Gluten Free Menu
We are proud to provide a vast array of gluten free options, which are clearly denoted on our menus. Please speak to us if you have any allergies; full allergen information is available for all our dishes.

Our beautiful beamed restaurant area is available for private hires, meetings, conferences, special events and intimate country style weddings.

The Queen’s Head is the perfect setting for a business lunch with free wi-fi and freshly made tea/coffee.

A wonderful selection of gins, real ales, craft beers, no and low, soft drinks, tea and coffee and wines…and even 2 pint takeout cartons for those who are driving!

Our stunning gardens are lovingly tended by Steve, who has grown much of the garden from seed. Steve has carefully curated the garden over several years to create a stunning show of colour and texture.

As an independent freehouse, we are pleased to stock real ales and craft beers from East Anglia and enjoy showcasing smaller breweries.

We believe that great ingredients speak for themselves and East Anglia has some of the best food producers in the country. Using a local supply chain, we aim to create wonderful dishes that complement our geography and setting.

We work hard to keep our menus up to date with the seasons and provide dietary requirements; e.g. gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options are always available. If you have a specific dietary requirement, please let us know and we will always do our best to accommodate you. We have full allergen information for all of our dishes – please ask. We are proud to have held a five star hygiene rating for the entire seven years we have been at the helm.
